How to judge the quality of variable reluctance resolver

How to judge the quality of a variable reluctance resolver can be done from the following aspects:

1. Visual inspection:

Observe whether there are cracks, oil leakage, burning, and other phenomena on the outer shell of the reluctance rotary transformer.

Check whether the external insulation material has cracks, dry cracks, peeling, etc.

Confirm if the connecting wires are securely fastened and if there is any looseness or corrosion.

Check the wear of rotating components such as bearings and gears.

2. Electrical parameter measurement:

Use a digital multimeter or specialized electrical testing equipment to measure parameters such as current, voltage, temperature, and power factor of a variable reluctance resolver.

Compare the measurement results with normal parameters and analyze whether the differences exceed the normal range.

3. Vibration analysis:

Collect vibration data during the operation of the variable reluctance resolver using vibration measurement equipment such as acceleration sensors.

Utilize vibration analysis software to process data and identify vibration characteristics such as frequency, amplitude, etc.

Determine whether there are faults such as bearing wear, imbalance, and looseness based on vibration characteristics.

4. Thermal infrared detection:

Use an infrared thermal imager for thermal infrared detection and observe the thermal distribution inside the variable reluctance resolver.

Analyze the heat map to determine if there are overheating issues such as poor coil contact and aging insulation materials.

5. Sound analysis:

Use a dedicated sound sensor to collect the operating sound of the variable reluctance resolver during operation.

Analyze and process the sound to determine if there are any abnormal noises, such as bearing wear, imbalance, or mechanical looseness.

6. Comprehensive experimental analysis:

Use high-voltage testers, insulation resistance testers, and other equipment to conduct withstand voltage tests, insulation resistance tests, load tests, and other tests on variable reluctance resolver.

Analyze the performance of the reluctance resolver based on the test results and determine whether there is a fault.

   

7. Repeatedly test in extreme environments, such as extreme temperature, noise, and various material cross influences, to test the signal output stability and consistency of the variable reluctance resolver.

If the above tests and analysis show normal results, then the reluctance rotary transformer can be considered to be in good condition. If any abnormalities or signs of malfunction are found, immediate measures should be taken to prevent the malfunction from escalating or causing more serious consequences. Meanwhile, regular maintenance and inspection are also important measures to ensure the long-term stable operation of the variable reluctance resolver.
