We have two types of ultrasonic gas flow transducers, one is 200Khz and the other is 500Khz. Customers often ask about the difference between 200Khz and 500Khz, and what are the differences in our application scenarios? Today, I am here to share with you.
The main differences between 200Khz and 500Khz ultrasonic gas flow transducers are as follows:
Firstly, frequency: A 200Khz transducer has a lower frequency, longer wavelength, and stronger penetration ability, while a 500Khz probe has a lower frequency, higher frequency, shorter wavelength, and weaker penetration ability.
Secondly, sensitivity: The sensitivity of a 200Khz probe is lower compared to a 500Khz probe.
Thirdly, measurement accuracy: A 500Khz probe has higher measurement accuracy than a 200Khz probe.
Fourthly, application scenarios: The 200Khz ultrasonic gas flow transducer is suitable for flow measurement of gas meters with relatively large diameters and harsh working conditions, such as G4 and above gas meters. Ventilators usually use the 200Khz gas flow transducer, while the 500Khz gas flow transducer is suitable for high-precision small tube gas meters due to its weak permeability and high sensitivity. For example, G1.6 and G2.5 gas meters for household use.
